Orchid pest control leans on physical removal and gentle products: rubbing alcohol on a cotton bud, horticultural oil and insecticidal soap for scale, mealybugs and mites; blue sticky traps and spinosad or neem for thrips; cinnamon powder and copper fungicide/bactericide for rots; and a sterile blade for every cut. Good bark mix, humidity and airflow prevent most problems.
