Propagation Equipment covers the gear that turns seeds and cuttings into strong young plants – heat mats, propagators, humidity domes and trays. Get the warmth and humidity right and germination and rooting become far more reliable. These guides match the equipment to how propagation actually works.

What You Actually Need to Propagate Plants
Most home propagation only needs two things done right: keeping cuttings humid enough that they don’t wilt before they root, and keeping the rooting zone a few degrees warmer than room temperature. A propagator or humidity dome handles the first; a heat mat handles the second. Rooting hormone can improve success rates on woodier cuttings, and if you’re grafting rather than rooting cuttings, see grafting tools & supplies.
