For this tree keep insecticidal soap and horticultural or neem oil for aphids and mealybugs, Bacillus thuringiensis for caterpillars, and copper fungicide for leaf spot, rust and pink disease in humid weather; borers and cotton stainers are best handled by sanitation and vigour. Most of the tree’s resilience comes from good drainage and unstressed growth, not spraying.
