What Helps — Products & Tools
For hibiscus keep insecticidal soap and neem/horticultural oil for aphids, whitefly, mealybugs and mites; yellow sticky traps for whitefly; spinosad for thrips; copper fungicide for leaf spot; and chelated iron for chlorosis. Beneficials — ladybirds, lacewings, Encarsia and predatory mites — do much of the work if you avoid harsh sprays. Steady watering and good drainage prevent most of the abiotic troubles.
