- Correction Strategy: Feed with rich organic matter and balanced fertiliser through the growing season, and correct persistent interveinal yellowing with a balanced micronutrient or chelated iron feed.
What Helps – Products & Tools
For Curcuma keep insecticidal soap and neem or horticultural oil for mites, mealybugs, scale and thrips, rubbing alcohol swabs for spot-treating mealybugs, Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) for the shoot borer, and blue sticky traps for thrips monitoring. On disease the priorities are clean/treated seed rhizomes, Trichoderma and raised free-draining beds against rhizome rot, plus copper fungicide for leaf spot — drainage and clean planting stock matter far more than any spray.
