- Symptoms: Dark, sunken spots on leaves, blackened flower clusters and sunken rotten lesions on fruit, spreading fast in warm, wet, humid weather; can cause flower and young-fruit drop.
- Treatment & Management: Prune for an open, airy canopy, clear fallen leaves and fruit, and avoid overhead irrigation. Protect flowering and fruiting flushes with a copper-based fungicide in prolonged wet spells, following the label; resistance to the disease varies, so favour clean, vigorous trees.

- Cold & wind damage:
