Reach for rubbing alcohol and horticultural oil or insecticidal soap for scale, mealybug, aphids and mites; copper or sulfur fungicide only for persistent rust or leaf spot in damp spells; and rooting after surgery to save rot-struck plants. The source’s generic “aphids, slugs, snails” misses the aloe’s real threats – the aloe mite, snout weevil, scale, and above all rot from overwatering.
