- Correction Strategy: Provide even moisture in the hottest, driest periods; the plant recovers readily as it is deep-rooted and vigorous.
What Helps — Products & Tools
For the occasional sap-sucker, insecticidal soap, horticultural or neem oil, and simply attracting ladybugs and lacewings are enough; use Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) for caterpillars and a copper-based product only if leaf spot ever becomes serious. Most ‘products’ here are gloves and a sharp spade for safe removal and containment.
